A North Carolina woman used her feet to phone 911 following her palms were defeated by her car Sunday.
The 54-year-old girl, who local police haven’t publicly recognized, was made to work with”some revolutionary thinking” following her palms were immobilized while she attempted to swap a flat tire, Colleton County Fire-Rescue officials wrote in a statement.
The incident happened around 7 p.m. following the girl pulled over to a dark part of Interstate 95, officials said.
She’d managed to replace the flat tire with a spare once the jack abruptly slipped, bringing the car back on her palms. They had been trapped between the tire and the fender, officials explained.

It took several tries, however, the girl was able to dial 911 and notify dispatchers of her ailment.
First responders were on the scene around eight minutes after. They used a pry bar to spare one hand and a hydraulic elevator for another.
All told, the girl spent approximately 45 minutes trapped beneath the vehicle, and”endured severe damage to both hands and fingers,” according to the announcement. She had been transported to a nearby trauma center for additional care.
