The Coronavirus pandemic has hit us all hard, and most of us are under pressure trying to cope with more registrations, lockdowns, disinfectants, face masks, and closed down businesses. The list of unpleasant things that this virus has brought upon our societies is long, and we are all hoping that 2021 will be the year in which we finally put an end to it. However, during this hard period it is important to stay positive, and to focus on what we for once have the time to do. That is why we have compiled a list of things that you can do, when you are bored during a global pandemic that will not let you out of the house.
Do a Netflix marathon
More than ever we have the time to relax at home in bed or on the couch, and what better opportunity than now do you get for watching all the films and series that you have not had time to in the last couple of years. Netflix has a long list of series that are must-sees right now and if you log onto the page, you will find a decent top 10 list of series that others have deemed as a no-miss. These series include among others Firefly Lane, Marcella, Superstore, or Designated Survivor. If no one has given the stamp of approval for these series yet, you have ours.
Live out your baking dreams
When stuck at home, it is nice to throw yourself into long lasting projects and what better way to do that than to start baking. Bread, sour dough, cakes – the list of possibilities when mixing sugar, flower, and butter is endless, and only your imagination is the limit. Tik Tok, Pinterest and Instagram are great social media sites where you can easily find inspiration for cakes to bake that will challenge you in many ways. Not only will baking keep you entertained for a couple of hours, but it will also keep the rest of the household happy, when you get to serve them your delicious result of your efforts in the kitchen.
Take a walk
Walking has become really popular during the past year when all gyms have been closed. Walking is a great way of exercising, but also socializing with friends and family that you are otherwise unable to see. Taking a walk is also quite meditative, and it gives you a rare moment to just breathe and think about nothing.
