‘Fantasy Island’,” Blumhouse’s terrifying reboot of this classic TV series, hits theatres on Feb. 14. We talked to the cast at the premiere this week and found out this is a fantastic choice for date night.

Fantasy Island, led by Jeff Wadlow, is a movie reboot of a spooky Seventies TV series. Inside, exactly like in the classic, a mysterious Mr. Roarke — performed Michael Pena — invites visitors into his tropical island then turns their dreams from them. Producer Jason Blum, 50, clarified EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife on Feb. 11 in the L.A. premiere, why he wished to re install the classic TV show. “I loved the series once I was a child and I was always sort of creeped out from the series and the idea of shooting a series and flirting with dread and frightening, which is exactly what the TV series does, then simply leaning into it and creating a super scary variant of Fantasy Island was quite intriguing. And that is why we created the film.”

The creator of Blumhouse studios is arguably the king of terrifying films.   And he confessed to us that he is to blame for lots of nightmares, with brought us classics such as Halloween, Paranormal Activity and The Purge. “I have nightmares every night, ask my wife. I mean how can I never have migraines, all that I really do is make other individuals have nightmares so that it’s only fair that I have myself.”

There are loads of scary moments in the thriller therefore that it’s not jolt that Austin Stowell, 35, that performs Randall, advised HL he would never wish to see Mr. Roarke’s Fantasy Island in actual life. “In this film the Island provides you exactly what you need, but in addition, it provides you exactly what you want. And everything you need isn’t precisely what you need all of the time. If I was to head to Fantasy Island that I wouldn’t need any of my dreams to come true since there’s likely to be wacky men with masks hoping to take me and kill me finally. I really don’t wish to proceed.”

Though the film is certainly not a romantic comedy,  Charlotte McKinney, 26, that plays with a Aphrodite, clarified to HL why it is really a”fun” option for a Valentine’s Day date. “If you do not need to select a cheesy date visit a scary movie, choose a thriller and also have some fun on Fantasy Island.”

The magnificent blonde shared her joy in being part of the undertaking, not because it was taken in heaven. “The cast was amazing. I must visit Fiji and I’d never been working together with Jeff Wadlow was very exciting, we have always talked about working together and this was sort of the ideal job. It was amazing… I had such an enjoyable time with Ryan and Jimmy and Jeff and it was such a fun group of folks and it was a fantasy, it was a dream.”

Charlotte also opened to HL about her Valentine’s Day programs this season. “I do not normally want to celebrate Valentine’s Day, it has never been among my favourite holidays. But I could get in the soul and do a wonderful dinner. Keep it simple.” As for whether she will be appreciating that dinner together with”somebody special” Charlotte played coy and told HL”maybe.”
