‘Grim Sleeper’ serial killer dies in prison
A rubbish collector on demise row since 2016 for the “Grim Sleeper” serial killings that terrorized southern Los Angeles for many years has died in jail.

Lonnie David Franklin, 67, who murdered 9 girls and a 15-year-old woman between 1985 and 2007, was discovered unresponsive in his cell on Saturday night.
He was pronounced useless round 20 minutes later.
“His reason for demise is pending the outcomes of an post-mortem; nonetheless, there have been no indicators of trauma,” jail officers mentioned in a press release.

Franklin stalked the streets of South Los Angeles at a time when an epidemic of crack cocaine plagued the neighborhood.
A number of of his victims had been prostitutes and drug addicts whom he shot or strangled, dumping their our bodies in alleyways or trash bins. He raped some earlier than killing them.
Franklin earned the moniker “Grim Sleeper” due to a 13-year hole within the murders.
