What Happened So Far in Hostages? – Season 1 Recap

Adapted from the Israeli show of the same name, Hostages is a thriller crime web series on Disney Plus Hotstar, portrays a ticking clock on a famous surgeon whose family held captive for a mission to kill CM Handa by IPS officer Prithvi (Ronit Roy). Dr Mira Anand (Tisca Chopra)- a well-known surgeon gets appointed for the routine operation of Chief Minister, but one night before the procedure, her whole family held captive by four mysterious people. One out of these four people is IPS officer Prithvi Singh who proposes a deal to Surgeon Mira Anand in return of her family’s freedom & safety. He asks her to assassinate CM in tomorrow’s procedure for his personal benefit, but Dr Mira refuses to kill someone.

Hostages Season 1

Dr Mira tries to find the escape from Prithivi’s demand by searching more about his life and learn about his sick wife, who needs an organ donor to live. Mira’s kids try to escape and seek help from the security head of CM- Subramanian, but learn that he is one behind this operation. On Mira’s advise, Prithivi call off the mission to assassinate CM, and Subramanian feel double-crossed by Prithvi. After learning the real truth behind Prithvi’s proposal and injustice done by CM, Mira decides to help him and Season 1 ends with CM lying in front of Prithvi, where he ask him to rest as he is the only one who can save Prithvi’s wife.
