The two young girls who summoned him, pantherian Rem and elf Shera, attempt to use a spell to make Takuma their servant, but the spell backfires, and both end up with magical collars around their necks, effectively making them his slaves.
Takuma, who suffers from severe social anxiety, chose to act like his character when socializing with others, relying on his high stats and extensive knowledge of Cross Reverie's lore to survive in his new environment.
He travels with Rem and Shera in order to find a way to remove their slave collars while also assisting them with their own personal issues that led them to summon him in the first place.
