Episode 1: The Original

Recap:Teddy and Dolores are romantic partners based on the android theme park called Westworld, where they get attacked mysteriously by the Man in Black. Bernard Lowe, the head programmer starts to trace the program for errors when the hosts start to behave awry. Dr Ford’s reverie takes matters into his hands, codes, and places a request to have the hosts vanquished. To cover the incident that any hosts were ever removed, Theresa Cullen orders an attack on the town.
Meanwhile, Dolores’ father Peter finds a photographer dropped behind by a newcomer, and when he gets interrogated, he quotes Shakespeare and swears to seek revenge. When Dolores is deemed to be functioning normally, she gets wiped clean and starts afresh with a new father. However, she breaks her programming to kill a fly in the end, and the management knows nothing about it.

Episode 2: Chestnut

Recap:Logan and William find themselves as Westworld’s guests, but the latter was totally reluctant in indulging in things, but eventually develops romantic feelings for Dolores. She was taken in for proper care but she jolts up awake and sees damaged hosts, including Teddy being cleaned. Thus, she is taken away to avoid any unnecessary attention towards her. Elsewhere, the Man in Black kidnaps Lawrence, demanding the location of the maze from him and eventually bagging a clue from his daughter upon killing her mother.

Episode 3: The Stray

Recap:Ford changes Teddy’s narrative and starts speaking, in which he is pitted against an Outlaw Host. He also reveals to Bernard the fate of his former partner Arnold, and how he died. Bernard starts to worry increasingly about how the conversation might have an ill effect on Dolores. However, Dolores promises to not get affected and keep following the loop. Later, she gets attacked by men who try to take her advantage physically.
She reaches out for a gun but finds herself unable to shoot him until and unless she starts to picture him as the Man in Black. Flashes of how all of the previous lives have been like a race through her mind. She even gets a deja vu of being in a similar situation where she had to gun someone down as well.

Episode 4: Dissonance Theory

Recap:Logan decides to finish the bounty hunt and taunts William because he got Dolores along with him. They do succeed in catching a fugitive, but Logan thinks of a better plan to have some fun by taking him to the boss. Elsewhere, the Man in Black who had Lawrence tagging along with him was hunting snakes and stumbled upon Armistice who also happened to have a snake tattoo.
He frees Escaton from prison for Armistice, and she reveals that her tattoo is a symbol for all of her victims, including Wyatt’s men prompting Lawrence and the Man in Black to go about searching for Wyatt. Lawrence later assigns Dolores, William, and Logan to steal a wagon crammed with explosives, and they successfully do so too. Meanwhile, Maeve learns that Lawrence is not planning to sell the explosives to the Confederates, but rather plans to keep them for himself.

Episode 6: The Adversary

Recap:It was in a Union Army post where all the soldiers recognize Teddy as having served as Wyatt’s accomplices in a major massacre causing Teddy to kill everyone and escape. Meanwhile, Theresa calls it quits on her relationship with Bernard, who also learns that Ford is housing a group of hosts secretly. Elsie starts to monitor the glitches and finds out that Theresa is the culprit behind the espionage.
She also finds that the hosts from the first generation probably were programmed differently later, for someone known as Arnold. Elsie later gets kidnapped by an unidentified person. And the Arnold issue keeps growing when a child host murders his dog and tells Ford that he did it for Arnold. In the end, Maeve forces Sylvester and Felix to reprogram her, and maximize her alert level and minimize her loyalty.

Episode 7: Trompe L’Oeil

Recap:Theresa and Hale have been conspiring all this while, stealing Ford’s works and saving it for the board so that they can kick him out of the park, and he doesn’t get a chance to delete his work as revenge. They even go to the extent of engineering a program where they explain how Ford’s reveries make hosts that inflict violent and destructive behaviour and narrative.
On the other hand, update malfunctions due to an error in the code which costs them a lot, for which Bernard gets blamed and fired. When the train gets attacked by a troop of Confederados, William, Dolores, and Lawrence take to their heels to save their lives. Dolores and Williams team up and go westwards, while Lawrence goes his own way.

Episode 8: Trace Decay

Recap:Bernard follows Ford’s wishes and manages to make Theresa’s death seem like an accident, which prompts Ford to wipe Bernard’s memories when he gets a vision of himself killing Elsie. All of this starts to make Stubbs suspicious regarding Ford’s erratic behaviour. Meanwhile, Maeve asks Felix to incorporate into her the ability to control other hosts.
Things take a bad turn when Sylvester tries to kill Maeve, prompting her to slit his throat. However, he gets saved by Felix later. Maeve starts to get more vivid, continuous visions about her past life and her daughter which prompts her to kill another host, raising concern among the park staff resulting in them taking her to the diagnostic centre for a thorough check-up.

Episode 9: The Well-Tempered Clavier

Recap:Maeve somehow tries to convince Bernard to let her back into the park, by claiming that she was a host. She is allowed in, where she meets Escaton and seeks his help to escape the park this time. Bernard gauges Ford’s dirty game and asks him to restore all his memories, and even realizes that he was a model of Arnold. He tries to kill Ford, but Ford escapes the backdoor of the code and somehow makes Bernard kill himself instead.
Elsewhere, Logan cuts Dolores’ belly open to prove to William that she was not real. She manages to escape, only to find her would disappear in no time; and ends up at the church where she learns she killed Arnold. Logan wakes up to Confederados corpses all of which William had slaughtered while he lost consciousness.
