Joel Osteen was born on March 05, 1963, in Houston, Texas to John Osteen and Dolores Pilgrim. His father, who was a former Baptist pastor founded the Lakewood Church that people now know a lot about.
Osteen graduated from Humble High School which is a public school located in Humble, Texas. He further enrolled himself in Oral Roberts University where he studied Radio and Television Communications. He also produced his father’s televised sermons for 17 years straight till 1999 until his father’s death.
