ESPN is recalling Kobe Bryant’s last public appearance before he died in a January 26 helicopter crash together with his daughter Gianna ‘Gigi’ Bryant, that had been 13. Bryant was 41.
To honor the NBA icon’s legacy, ESPN showed a movie of Bryant and Gigi in a December 21 game in which the Brooklyn Nets played with the Atlanta Hawks in Barclays Center at Brooklyn, New York.
The movie clip seems to reveal Bryant giving his daughter basketball-related pointers, to which she awakens, laughs, and smiles.

Gigi followed in her father’s footsteps and played basketball too, together with her father coaching her team.
Based on TMZ, the Bryant and his daughter had been on their way to a basketball practice at the Mamba Academy at Thousand Oaks, California, once the crash happened.
