A clear frontrunner during the awards , Laura Dern capped off her hot streak tonight by winning the Oscar for best supporting actress for her trenchant functionality in Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story.
While she adds to her Golden Globe, SAG, Critics’ Choice, and BAFTA decorations, this win was extra special for Dern since it’s a day before her wedding.
“Here is the best birthday gift in history,” she explained while taking her award onstage.
She, obviously, didn’t neglect to thank Baumbach for”his vision” and”his magical.”
“Noah wrote a picture about love and about attaining branches in the title and in the honour of home and family and for all people, from the title of our world.”
She mentioned her”acting personalities.”
“Many say, you can’t meet your heroes. I say if you are blessed you receive them as your own parents. I discuss this with my acting personalities, my legends, Diane Ladd and Bruce Dern.”
Dern beat out Kathy Bates for Richard Jewell, Scarlett Johansson for Jojo Rabbit, Florence Pugh for Little Girls , along with Margot Robbie for Bombshell.
