Mads Mikkelsen is set to headline the dark humor”Riders of Justice” written and directed by Anders Thomas Jensen, the renowned Danish helmer and screenwriter of Susanne Bier’s Oscar-winning”At a Better World.”

Mikkelsen will star in the film alongside Nikolaj Lie Kaas (“The Department Q Series”), Lars Brygmann (“This Time of the Year), Nicolas Bro (“Nymphomaniac”), Gustav Lindh (“Queen of Hearts”), Roland Møller (“Valhalla”) along with the novice Andrea Heick Gadeberg (“Daniel”).

The narrative revolves Markus, a deployed army guy who needs to return home to his teenaged daughter, Mathilde, when his wife dies in a horrible train crash. It appears to be plain bad fortune — but it ends up that it could have been a carefully orchestrated assassination, which his wife was a random casualty of.

Manufactured by top company Zentropa, the 5.3 million film is represented in global markets by TrustNordisk that’s describing the movie as a”contemporary fable about solidarity, the randomness of the world… andalso, the significance of life”

Jensen, who is grappling with directors like Bier, Lone Scherfig, Nikolaj Arcel and Niels Arden Oplev,
has led several movies, such as”Flickering Lights,””The Green Butchers” and”Adam’s Apples.” He had been given the Honorary Bodil Award because of his entire achievement in Danish theatre in 2003.

“We’re quite excited to be on board this Zentropa creation and look forward to dive into the quirky world, which Anders Thomas Jensen has generated within this brilliant script,” explained Susan Wendt, the managing director of TrustNordisk.

Wendt stated TrustNordisk successfully managed”Green Butchers” and”Adam’s Apples” and can be”convinced that’Riders of Justice’ will surpass the global success of those names.”

“Anders Thomas Jensen’s special gift for storytelling is something which continues to attract individuals of all nationalities,” stated the executive.

The movie just started shooting and has been made by Sisse Graum Jørgensen and Sidsel Hybschmann for Zentropa Entertainments3, also can be co-produced by Film that I Väst and Zentropa Sweden.

“Riders of Justice” is anticipated to be published in December.
