EXCLUSIVE: Michael Chernus has joined the cast Werewolves Inside , the terror comedy being led by Scare Me helmer Josh Ruben. The movie, according to Ubisoft’s virtual reality video game, was adapted by screenwriter and writer Mishna Wolff and celebrities Veep‘s Sam Richardson.
The Werewolves Inside match is set in a fictitious medieval city where a werewolf is attacking the townspeople, and gamers need to guess who one of them would be the werewolf in disguise. The storyline of this film: Shenanigans ensue if a huge blizzard isolates a small Vermont town, inducing simmering resentments to boil as the oddball townspeople are just one by one picked away with a mysterious monster.
Chernus will perform Pete, who’s married to Trish but doesn’t share her beliefs . He believes himself a charmer, but comes off as an overly friendly sleaze who will find somewhat handsy particularly after a glass of merlot.
Producers are Ubisoft Film & Television’s Jason Altman, Margaret Boykin and Andrew Lieberman; Vanishing Angle’s Matt Miller, Natalie Metzger and Benjamin Wiessner; and Richardson. The project originated from Ubisoft Film & Television’s inaugural Women’s Film and Television Fellowship, where Wolff procured a script bargain to get her pitch.
Chernus, now starring alongside Edie Falco at CBS’ midseason police drama show Tommy, was a standout series regular on Amazon’s Patriot and has been a part of Joe Swanberg’s Netflix anthology Easy. His TV credits also include WGN America’s Manhattan and Netflix’s Orange is the New Black, where he played with Piper’s brother Cal Chapman.
About the film side, he starred opposite Maggie Gyllenhaal at The Netflix’s The Kindergarten Teacher, also has been Phineas Mason, aka The Tinkerer, at Sony’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.
