If you've ever felt left out and struggled to be one of the select few to binge-watch the year's most popular episodes, worry not: our list of TV series to watch encompasses a variety of genres, from light and funny to bizarre and frightening. It's time to get with the plan. Here's a rundown of some of the year's most popular and trending new TV shows 2021.

Arcane (Netflix)

Arcane, unlike many of Netflix's animated programs, is shockingly serious and clearly aimed at a young adult audience. Plus, since Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the program has included some of the most stunning and innovative animations.

Hacks (Hbo Max)

Let's get this out of the way right away: Jean Smart dominated the first season of Hacks. Dayenu, she could've just shown up. Deborah Vance, an old-school comic and Las Vegas regular who's caustic and perceptive in equal measure, delivered the fire as Deborah Vance. Hacks and Ava (a talented Hannah Einbinder) accomplished the impossible by delving into the art of humor, pushing numerous beliefs against one another, and creating a wonderful odd couple of comedians.

Heels (Starz)

The story starts slowly, but as it extends its universe and escalates the stakes, it becomes evident that Heels has the potential to become something truly unique. So this is the opportunity to get in early and claim you enjoyed it before it became fashionable.

I Think You Should Leave (Netflix)

Even in its weakest pieces, Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin's sketch program is confoundingly funny — a topic, of course, on which no one can agree. Perhaps the "Baby Cries" skit drags on a little too long for you, but how else would we be exposed to perilous nights? For every skit that I find forgettable at the time, there are three others that make me laugh just thinking about them. Months later, its surrealist comedy is still as hilarious as the first time I saw it, compelling me to reconsider my first judgment in a manner that no other program could: "You sure about that? "Are you sure that's the reason?"

Invincible (Prime Video)

It's not every day that a cartoon becomes the topic of conversation — especially among adults. Invincible is based on the Skybound/Image comic and follows Mark Grayson on his quest to succeed his father, Nolan Grayson, as Earth's next great defender. This is not a childish cartoon, but rather a sophisticated and attractive television series with big vistas and plenty of action.

The Great British Bake Off (Channel 4/Netflix)

The Great British Bake Off has had several seasons to develop its own brand of warmth. Its laid-back attitude surprised American viewers, who were used to the more savage tone of reality television in the United States. But, at this time, we're all familiar with the procedure. When I hear the theme music, I instantly feel at ease, knowing that, despite the trials being really difficult, the amateur baking participants are all friendly with one another.

Never Have I Ever (Netflix)

When it comes to actual people interacting with each other, I have limited tolerance for what I term "high school drama," yet I can't get enough of it in Netflix's Never Have I Ever. The show's creators cranked up both the ridiculousness and the heartfelt drama of Devi Vishwakumar's narrative in the second season, to thrilling and hilarious effect.

Only Murders In The Building (Hulu)

Video will be loading soon. Please wait...

In this comedy, Steve Martin and Martin Short play true-crime aficionados who are drawn into an actual true-crime murder case with the assistance of Selena Gomez.

The Other Two (HBO Max)

Video will be loading soon. Please wait...

Cary and Brooke Dubek, adult siblings, are getting closer to breaking out from their adolescent pop star brother Chase's shadow and even achieving success this time around. Getting what you desire, on the other hand, does not make you a better person. In fact, it's likely to make things worse, since when Cary and Brooke lose their underdog status, they're humorously dragged back to Earth over and over again. There's still hope for them (despite its razor-sharp criticism of modern celebrity, The Other Two is nevertheless really charming), but it'll be better for us if they take their time. We're going to laugh a lot more.

Reservation Dogs(Fx/Hulu)

Video will be loading soon. Please wait...

Reservation Dogs is simple to set up: Bear (D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai), Willie Jack (Paulina Alexis), Cheese (Lane Factor), and Elora (Devery Jacobs), four Native teenagers on an Oklahoma reservation, begin stealing to fund their escape, hoping to make it to faraway California. But it isn't long until the program deviates from its heist comic origins. Brief forays into the fantastical or surreal, such as a Hoof Lady who hunts down evil guys or a glimpse of a plantation owner in the white man with a Native fetish who sleeps with Bear's mother, swiftly reveal a universe far deeper than its logline. The fact that all of this is balanced with cool humor that isn't hesitant to tackle major problems just adds to the show's attractiveness.

Conclusion

2021 is indeed another fruitful year for movies and TV shows. It delivered us new, exciting, and refreshing shows to enjoy and love. We are looking forward to another year of fun with movies and TV shows to binge-watch.
