We’ve got some sad news for fans of all The 100: the CW series is finishing after seven seasons. On Aug. 4, founder Jason Rothenberg announced on Twitter that the show’s seventh installment is going to likely probably be its final one. “With #The100 Season 6 finale just days away, I have some fantastic news to share: Season 7 will likely probably be our past,” he also said\. “We are eternally grateful to WB & CW for always allowing us to tell our story how we want to & to wrap the show on our terms. What an unbelievable ride this has been!”

The statement comes months following The 100 was renewed for another apocalyptic chapter in April. The throw recently made a enjoyable appearance at San Diego Comic-Con in which they discussed the show’s current season (and where costars Eliza Taylor and Bob Morley dished on their wedding). The show – which centers around humanity’s reconstruction after a wipeout that was nuclear – made its debut \on the CW in 2014turning into a fan favorite which will definitely be missed. The premiere date for season seven hasn’t been revealed yet, but year six will probably conclude on Aug. 6.
