EXCLUSIVE: Iola Evans (Carnival Row), Adain Bradley (Riverdale) and Leo Howard (Why Women Kill) would be the first to be cast in CW’s The 100 prequel backdoor pilot, out of The 100 developer/executive producer/showrunner Jason Rothenberg.
Composed by Rothenberg, the prequel has been developed as a implanted spinoff and will probably be introduced in an event by the upcoming seventh and last period of The 100.
The Untitled 100 Prequel is place 97 years prior to the events of the first show. It begins with the end of the planet — a nuclear apocalypse that overlooks almost all of the human inhabitants on Earth — and follows a group of survivors on the earth as they learn how to deal in a dangerous universe whilst fighting to make a new and improved society in the ashes of what came before.
Evans will perform Callie. Whip-smart and enthusiastic with a rebellious streak to boot, Callie has spent decades ignoring expectations to be able to fight for the causes in which she believes. However, if the apocalypse devastates the planet she was working so difficult to conserve, Callie has to discover a new function, and potential, for all that remains of humankind.
Bradley will depict Reese. Hard-working and headstrong, Reese has spent a life in fierce rivalry with his beloved sister, Callie. However, if the chance to finally prove his value is accompanied by an unbelievable price, Reese should figure out what he is prepared to cross to eventually come out on top.
