An mysterious virus which originated in China has spread into the United States: An instance of this virus was identified in Washington state.

The epidemic probably started at a fish market in Wuhan, the most populous town in central China. It has spread to South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand. Two instances have been recorded in Thailand, while every other nation so much has one confirmed instance. 

Thus farthe virus — called the Wuhan virus, or 2019-nCoV — has infected an estimated 300 individuals and killed six.

A viral epidemic of SARS that began in China in November 2002 led to 8,000 instances and 774 deaths by July 2003. The epidemic spread to dozens of nations in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. Recent research indicates it might have spread to individuals from horseshoe bats.

On Friday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that three US airports — New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, San Francisco International Airport, and Los Angeles International Airport — could Start screening passengers to get the virus.
