Tracy Underwood Named Executive Vice President of Creative Affairs at ABC Studios
ABC Signature’s senior vice president Tracy Underwood was upped to the recently created position of executive vice president of creative events of ABC Studios, where she’ll expand her purview to oversee each of scripted growth of humor and drama at ABC Studios and ABC Signature.
The marketing, which will be effective immediately, puts Underwood accountable for identifying authors for prospective jobs and directing thoughts to fruition, among other jobs. All of ABC Studios development teams today report . She’ll report to ABC Studios president Jonnie Davis.
“Once I began at ABC Studios, I knew I had a key senior executive overseeing the evolution of all our endeavors, and nearly instantly Tracy appeared as the ideal person for the project,” said Davis in a statement. “She actually is a creative power in this business, with outstanding taste in substance, profound relationships with authors along with a keen eye for persuasive IP. She’s been responsible for a number of our most notable recent jobs, from’Godfather of Harlem’ and’Dollface’ into the eagerly anticipated’Little Fires Everywhere’ and’High Fidelity.’ This new position gives her more land to pay as we set ABC Studios as a premiere destination for good ability to come and perform their very best work.”
Underwood had functioned as senior VP of ABC Signature because 2013, directing its movement into streaming and cable. Along with the aforementioned show, she was in charge of”The Wilds” for Amazon, also shepherded Showtime’s”SMILF,” Hulu’s”Marvel’s Runaways” and Freeform’s”Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger.” Before her latest article, Underwood was vice president of play at ABC Studios, overseeing”Zero Hour,””Missing” and”The River,” and formerly served as a senior exec and manufacturer on features including”Source Code,””White Oleander” and”Nearing Grace.”
