Who will lead the Avengers next?

You aren’t getting way more OG than Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas). They’re comic-canonical co-founders of the unique Avengers, and have run the group themselves. So far as the MCU goes, now that Janet’s again from the Quantum Realm post-Ant-Man and the Wasp, placing one or each of them within the captain’s chair is not completely unrealistic. As threats will probably proceed from extra-dimensional sources, they’re uniquely certified to evaluate these threats and fight them with help from Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) — who, whereas we love him, is not actually management materials.

Janet and/or Hank would even be wonderful replacements for Tony Stark (and, to a lesser extent, Bruce Banner) within the technological genius division. As heartwarming as it’s that Tony turned over management of his AI to Peter Parker (Tom Holland) in Spider-Man: Far From Residence, it might be a tall order to have the wall-crawler fill a management position all by himself on the tender age of 16. The West Coast Avengers might be the wave of the long run, since Hank, Janet, Scott, and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) are nonetheless all centered there; additionally, T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) confirmed curiosity in creating Wakandan outreach packages there on the conclusion of Black Panther. All of those latter-day additions to the MCU are doing simply superb within the wake of Endgame, too. It is a handy coincidence, that is all we’re saying.
