‘The Third Day’: Sky & HBO Plot Immersive Live Event For Jude Law & Naomie Harris Drama

Sky introduced details of this live event during its glitzy upfronts occasion in London, calling The next Daythat the”world’s first immersive TV play with an advanced live event staged within this series”.
Produced by author Dennis Kelly and Felix Barrett, artistic director of theatre troupe Punchdrunk, the undertaking will inform three, standalone but interconnected stories. Two of these will form a part of this series’s six-episode jog, while the next will occur in the united kingdom.
The first component is’Summer’, composed by Dennis Kelly and directed by Marc Munden. Told over three episodes, Summer follows the story of Sam (Law), a guy who’s attracted to a mysterious Isle from the British coast where he encounters a group of islanders put on maintaining their own customs at any price.

After’Summer’, audiences will find the opportunity to become a part of The next Dayworld in a significant immersive theater occasion. Made by Punchdrunk and led by Felix Barrett, audiences will occupy the narrative as it happens, live. Places will be limited, so viewers will also have the ability to follow the events on the internet.
The next Day finishes with’Winter’: advised within a further three episodes. Composed by Kit de Waal, Dean O’Loughlin and Dennis Kelly and led by Philippa Lowthorpe, it follows Helen (Harris), a strong-willed outsider who comes to the island looking for answers, but whose birth precipitates a fractious struggle to decide its destiny.
Barrett, stated,”To tell a story that crosses TV and live actions was a long held dream of mine. The next Daywill be a TV series and a universe you are able to enter, giving audiences the opportunity to breathe and live the story”.
Kelly stated,”I wished to make a string which was unsettling and upsetting but also talked to anxieties that ran deeper than dread. The topics of this Third Dayhave been obsessions of mine — it’s all about hope and loss and the way both of these things can distort the brain in surprising and barbarous ways.”
Cameron Roach, Director of Drama, Sky Studios, added,”The next Dayis an ingenious and genuinely innovative series. The exceptional approach to storytelling is ground-breaking and we are so proud to have the ability to split the compelling world made by Dennis and Felix together with our viewers and also to invite them to genuinely have the series in a game-changing manner”
The next Dayis a co-production involving HBO and Sky. It’s the very first initial play to be made by Sky’s brand new production home, Sky Studios, in partnership with Plan B Amusement and Punchdrunk International. Kelly executive produces Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner for Plan B, Barrett for Punchdrunk International, Munden and Lowthorpe. Adrian Sturges functions as producer. Kit de Waal and Dean O’Loughlin are also authors for the set.
